1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site. We operate on our own with no ties to any government office. We do not store official criminal records and we cannot pull records, run official background checks, or file documents for anyone.

Our role is to point readers toward the offices holding Owyhee County criminal records, including the sheriff, Idaho courts, Idaho State Police BCI, and the Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry, and to identify outside tools that may assist research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

You may not use site content or a linked tool to stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or discriminate against anyone. Idaho Code §§18-8326 and 18-8413 restrict misuse of Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry data, including harassment, intimidation, commercial use, and mailing or phone-list compilation. Registry information supports public safety awareness and never authorizes vigilante action.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

When a purpose requires an official or FCRA-compliant report, use Idaho State Police BCI or a qualified consumer reporting agency.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing here is legal advice. General information about Owyhee County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, sealing rule, or other remedy affects a particular matter. Seek advice from a licensed Idaho attorney.

Clicking one of those links moves you off our platform and onto one we have no control over. We are not responsible for their content, how they handle data, what they charge, or whether their site stays online. Check their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Owyhee County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, modified, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages that come from using this site - including decisions made based on information found here or through any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from any claim, legal action, or demand that stems from how you used this site or from breaking these terms. That includes covering our legal fees and related costs.

11. Governing Law

Idaho law, including the Idaho Consumer Protection Act in Idaho Code Title 48, Chapter 6, governs these terms. A dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in Idaho.

13. Cutting Off Access

We can limit or block your access to this site at any time, for any reason, with no warning.

14. Severability

If a court rules that any part of these terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest stand. The problem section gets adjusted only as much as needed to make it work.
